Information and video about the explosive exercise Power Clean.

Power Clean is an exercise that is performed to increase power and explosiveness. This exercise is often seen in many athletic team weight training programs. When doing a power clean, the most important thing to focus on is proper form. It is recommended to perfect form before doing the exercise with any weight at all. One suggestion is to perform the exercise with a broom stick first and then move onto the barbell when you feel comfortable. Below is a video of proper power clean technique. The demonstrator in this video catches the power clean in a full front squat, however, catching it in a quarter squat is also fine.
